Frequently Asked Questions

Is DMG a publishing company?

Nope. Plain and simple, we're a third-party production company that supports the publishing industry. We help publishers produce their publications and manage their creative resources, but we do not publish any publication ourselves. But let us know if you're in the market for custom publishing services. We work with quite a few custom publishing firms and may be able to point you in the right direction.

Is DMG a print provider?

Thankfully, no. Instead, we work with all of the major North American web-offset printers. Our job is to help publishers find the right printer for their projects by helping them identify production needs, define specifications, plan distribution and receive and review quotes. In the end, it's all about pairing up the right print job with the right printer.

Who is DMG for?

We support small-to-mid size magazine publishers and mid-to-enterprise size catalog publishers. More to the point, we support any publisher who is looking to streamline their production workflows, improve quality and trim production costs.

Who (else) is DMG for?

We offer production, automation and color support to quite a few other industries to include ad agencies, corporate marketing, commercial printers, photography studios and creative firms. Basically, any entity involved with commercial graphic production and printing.

What makes DMG special?

For starters, our solutions don't begin and end with us. They begin with you and end with the appropriate person, company, software or printer required to handle your specific needs. Although we may handle some of the actual work in-house, our primary goal is simply to help you connect the dots and increase your efficiency and effectiveness. Take a look at our services page and you'll see what we mean.

How much does DMG services cost?

Well, that's not really an answerable question. It's kind of like asking "How much does it cost to build a house?" It depends on what kind of "house" we're building and what's going inside. Likewise, in the publishing world there are many contributing factors such as creativity, design intricacy, editorial content, artwork, printing, distribution, marketing, fulfillment etc. Naturally, you can spend as much or as little as you like on these various components. Our job is simply to help you maximize efficiency within your budget.
